The Grocery List
- Chicken breast strips: You can go to your grocery store purchase chicken strips or cut chicken breasts in strips.
- Corn starch
- Olive oil
- Minced garlic
- 3 cups broccoli or cabbage
- 2 cups chicken broth or 2 bouillon cubes (if using cubes this will be with two cups of water)
- Jasmine rice
- Red pepper flakes: You can spice & heat this dish by adding red pepper flakes
- Soy sauce lite: Watch the sodium and enjoy the sauce
- Garlic powder: To give the chicken more of a garlic flavor you can add more by sprinkling garlic powder to the chicken while cooking.
- Garlic chili sauce: Spice it up by adding on top of your dish for some pizzazz.
Step (1)
Start simmering chicken breast strips using olive oil in a skillet using moderate heat.
- Heat olive oil in a pan then add chicken
- Evenly mix in 1 heaping tablespoon of minced garlic to chicken while cooking
- Now cook for 5-7 minutes or until you perceive the chicken to be done

Step (2)
- With 2 cups of water or broth at room temperature in a bowl or pot add 1 tablespoon of starch.
- If not using liquid chicken broth, crush 2 chicken bullion cubes into water
- Mix with fork thoroughly until completely dissolved
- Add 1 tablespoon of garlic powder to the broth.
Step (3)
Pour broth in a skillet with chicken

- Add veggies to the chicken and broth then cover and simmer on medium heat.
- Adding broccoli: Cover and simmer with chicken for 3-5 minutes
- Adding cabbage: To not overcook chicken you can cook cabbage in a separate pan for 10 minutes then add to chicken and broth cover and cook for another 5 minutes.
White Rice ·
1 cup rice ·
2 cups water
1. Add rice and water to a pot.
2. Bring to a simmer on medium high heat.
3. Cover rice with top.
4. Immediately reduce heat to low.
5. Cook for about 15 minutes
Serve chicken and veggie dish over steamed rice and enjoy!
Spice it up more
Add garlic chili sauce and or lite soy sauce to make tasty.
