How EPluribus Rates a Restaurant
How I Rate a Restaurant
Let me begin by stating my approach to rating restaurants. Within the first few minutes of entering an establishment, I gauge it based on my initial reception and the quality of customer service. I refrain from offering negative reviews about the food because individual tastes can vary greatly. Hence, I believe it’s unfair to critique the culinary offerings of an eating establishment.
I’ve observed that people tend to treat others differently based on appearances. I’ve personally encountered various responses, which stem from both my ethnicity (being Black) and my attire.
My appearance can be somewhat misleading at times. I might be dressed in formal business attire on one occasion and, on another, I could be heading to or coming from the gym, dressed somewhat casually.
I frequently traverse the neighborhood, meeting with business owners and making my way to and from the gym. As a dedicated fitness enthusiast, my attire can be quite casual, which often results in curious glances. When I’m dressed up, some may mistake me for a salesman. However, the majority of people are amiable when I’m in business attire. As a business owner myself, I’ve always aimed to make everyone feel welcome, even when I’m not engaged in sales activities.
It’s worth noting that salespeople dine at restaurants, as do their families, business associates, customers, friends, and entire networks. Should I encounter a negative dining experience, I make it a point to share it with everyone, both in person and on this blog. All individuals deserve a warm welcome when they patronize establishments.
Now, let me outline my criteria for assessing eating establishments. When I have a delightful experience, I’ll certainly share it with you. Conversely, if I encounter a disappointing one, you can expect to find it posted here. I assure you of that commitment.
So, let’s dive into my assessment of a particular establishment:
The Golden Phoenix 2728 N Classen Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73106
Having resided in Seattle, Washington, for over three decades and having traveled internationally, I must admit my surprise. In my opinion, “The Golden Phoenix” in Oklahoma City serves the finest Asian cuisine I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
I find it astonishing that such an exceptional dining establishment is located in Oklahoma. What’s more, the staff here is consistently friendly. Regardless of my appearance, I’m treated with utmost courtesy.
I even had the opportunity to meet the management, perhaps even the owners themselves, and I must say, they are truly remarkable!
Choosing a great restaurant can be a subjective experience and depends on personal preferences. However, here are some general tips that can help you select a good restaurant:
- Check online reviews: Look for reviews on websites like Yelp, Google Reviews, or TripAdvisor. Pay attention to both positive and negative reviews to get a well-rounded view of the restaurant.
- Ask for recommendations: Ask friends, family, or locals for recommendations on great restaurants in the area. They may have firsthand experience and can give you a reliable recommendation.
- Look at the menu: Check the restaurant’s menu to see if it offers the type of food you’re looking for. Also, make sure the prices are within your budget.
- Consider the ambiance: The atmosphere of the restaurant can make or break your dining experience. Look at photos online or visit the restaurant’s website to get an idea of the decor and overall vibe.
- Check for cleanliness: The cleanliness of a restaurant is a good indicator of its overall quality. Look for a clean and well-maintained restaurant.
- Check for the quality of service: Good service can make a big difference in your dining experience. Look for a restaurant with attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable staff.
- Consider the location: The location of the restaurant can affect your overall experience. Look for a restaurant that is conveniently located and easy to access.
By considering these factors, you can increase your chances of choosing a great restaurant that will meet your expectation
